    What is Health Insurance Marketplace?

"Treat your body like a temple." It is an old saying that we often hear but tend to overlook its importance. Health is central to happiness, and a healthy body is a gateway to success in life. When we put our health first, we nourish our body and soul. A healthy lifestyle unlocks new levels of potential for us each day our personality shines from within.

With the help of two simple steps, you can adopt a healthy lifestyle, prevent fatal diseases and boost your self-esteem and courage.

    What is Health Insurance Marketplace?

Step One – Get a Health Coverage

The first and important step to better well-being is getting health coverage. Health coverage is synonymous with primary care that not only takes care of the body when you feel sick but also allows you to live a long and healthy life.

    • Better care leads to Healthier Selves

The importance of healthcare coverage is understood by understanding what primitive care is. It means to be aware of our health conditions and maintaining a health care routine. By putting our health first, we are not only looking after ourselves but also our families and society on the whole.

    • What is Healthcare Insurance Marketplace?

Healthcare Insurance Marketplace, previously known as "Health Exchange," are online organizations present in different states of United States dealing in the healthcare business. These organizations allow people to buy health insurance or health coverage following the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act – also known as "ACA" or "Obamacare."ACA law, petitioned in March 2010, is a set of policies that standardize health insurance plans for the public. The law was outlined to extend health insurance services to low-income families, reduce costs, and add dozens of new features that benefit the general public who weren't eligible for health insurance before.

The health insurance market is for individuals, families, and even small businesses, offering multiple packages to fit every person's budget and needs. Once you have health insurance, you can select any plan. Each plan consists of standard benefits, including preventive care, prescriptions, hospital visits, and hospitalization. Before choosing a plan, it is important to look into its benefits and features as per your preferences.

    • Am I Eligible to Use Health Insurance Marketplace?

Ever since the world has fallen prey to the Corona Virus (2019), the health insurance marketplace has opened its door to many people, making them eligible for health coverage. Most of the US citizens can now enroll in the 2021 health insurance program – who weren't eligible before – in the special enrollment period in case they have lost insurance coverage for a life event, such as having a baby, getting married, or even moving.

If you are a US Citizen who lives there and can pay the standard fee or have savings, you are eligible for the extended health insurance program.

Step Two – Maintain a Healthy Routine

There is no substitute for a healthy lifestyle. Once you have successfully taken care of your healthcare coverage and made sure your sickness will be taken care of, it is important to maintain a healthy routine. Health insurance offers many benefits in the upkeep of our well-being—however, the responsibility of maintaining a healthy lifestyle rest on our shoulders.

To stay healthy and fit, there are a few lifestyle choices that we have to adopt.

    1. Correct your sleeping pattern

Let me start this point with a common Benjamin Franklin quote: "Early to bed, early to rise, makes the man healthy, wealthy and wise." Going to bed early and waking up early is the ultimate power-packed move to kick-start your day. Soaking up the early morning sunshine improves health, boosts your vitamin D levels, improves health, and gives you more energy compared to late risers. Waking up early also means you will have more time on your hands, and you will be able to focus more on yourself by going for a healthy jog, doing exercise, or meditating.

    2.  Make time for physical activity

Engaging in physical activity or exercising daily is important for overall health. Physical labor adds fuel to the bones and muscles, making them strong, while an everyday encounter with the fresh air is healthy for our brain. Our brain requires a daily dose of oxygen to function properly, as the serotonin chemical release greatly depends on the brain's oxygen levels. Fresh air tends to give mental clarity, heightens our focus, and promotes optimal functioning.

Exercising doesn't mean pushing yourself beyond limits. A simple 15 min jog in a natural green atmosphere or a swim in your pool can make a lot of healthy difference in your routine.

    3.  Eat Healthily

A healthy diet is an equal contributor when setting yourself up on a healthy lifestyle. Organic and natural foods such as fruits, vegetables, and nuts keep your cholesterol levels in check, reduce the risks of heart diseases and keep eating disorders at bay. What we put in our body is reflected in the body's health.

    4.  Draw the line between work and rest

While work is important and it keeps our financial life afloat, it is also crucial to take a break from work and recharge your mind and body to function at their best. If you're a workaholic who keeps stalling their rest time, it is time to stop and take a look back at your health patterns. If there isn't already a health decline, there will soon be. When we don't give our body much deserved breaks, not only our health deteriorates, but it also declines the productivity levels that we work so hard to achieve.

If you haven't met a friend in a long time, or haven't been out on holiday, it is about time that you give yourself a break and enjoy yourself a little.

    5.  Pamper yourself

Sitting on the couch, eating potato chips does not come under pampering; it is spoiling oneself. The best way to pamper yourself is by indulging in therapeutic activities that relax your mind and body. Go to a spa, get a massage, buy yourself flowers, light up some candles and draw a bath, or even cozy up to a fireplace and read a book. Pampering doesn't need to be expensive; it is all about self-care.
