    1.  Amazon Web Services

    Amazon Web Services (AWS) is undoubtedly the market leader in cloud computing models. The financial report of Amazon’s second quarter stated that the company achieved $2.9 billion in revenue for the same quarter and that was $1.1 billion up from the same quarter of 2015. Since then, the company’s revenue from cloud computing based services has been in upward rate. 

    When comes to its services cloud computing, Amazon offers a comprehensive set of IaaS and PaaS services. And the most famous services are Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Elastic Beanstalk, Glacier storage, Relational Database Service (RDS), and DynamoDB NoSQL database, Simple Storage Service (S3), Elastic Block Store (EBS). And Amazon also serves businesses with cloud services pertained to the Internet of Things (IoT), networking, analytics and machine learning, mobile services, mobile app development, cloud management, cloud security and more.

    Though we don’t have an exact report of how much revenue Microsoft generates from cloud computing, we can say its "Intelligent Cloud" revenue amplified 5 percent to stretch to $6.7 billion in its Q4 2016, according to a report it released recently. In fact, Microsoft achieves significant server revenues along with Azure cloud computing service it offers in the Intelligent Cloud category. The company previously stated that its Azure category has $10 billion annual run rate and that was around $2.5 billion quarterly revenue. 

    Microsoft offers Azure IaaS and PaaS, as well as Saas offerings that include online versions of its Dynamics line of enterprise software and online developer tools and Office 365 products.

    Though it was not in ‘big threes’ before, now IBM is coming strong in the cloud business. In its report for the second quarter of 2016, IBM stated its cloud-as-a-service revenue was up 50 percent and its annual run rate was $6.7 billion.

    Bluemix PaaS is the most demanding cloud service of IBM today and it is mainly targeted at enterprise development teams and even it is leveraged by mobile app development companies and other tech-centric businesses. IBM offers cloud management tools, cloud infrastructure and cloud managed services.

    Google hasn’t broken its new cloud computing technology that revenue report yet. But a report released by Synergy says Google stands fourth in IaaS and PaaS market, holding 4 percent share of the market. And Google's cloud revenue is mounting up drastically, achieving 108 percent revenue up year-over-year. 

    Google offers a complete range of IaaS and PaaS services that encompass storage, compute, networking, big data, machine learning, security and developer tools. And its most popular cloud offerings are App Engine, Container Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery and Compute Engine.


    5.  Salesforce.com

    Salesforce.com

    Saleforce is in the cloud space for many years and its major portion of revenue comes from the cloud. For fiscal 2017 Q1, Salesforce reported $1.92 billion revenue in GAAP, which is 27 percent year-over-year hike.

    Salesforce generates most of its revenue from SaaS offerings which are categorized into Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud. In this, Sales Cloud itself form 41 percent revenue of the company. App Cloud, Force.com and Heroku are the three PaaS services the company offers for developers.       Do you have any insights on the market share and revenue of Location based services like Maps navigation etc, offered as hosted software with these providers? May be very specific and niche.
